Katie has landed

Katie writes: Hi family. I just wanted to let you know that I am in Toulouse. Thought I would send a quick note, but this will take longer than i thought as the keyboards here are off. just slightly off - I seem to be ping a lot of qqqq as they are where the aaaa usually are.

got here no problem. I got dropped at the apartment - and am loving it. walked to the stores and stumbled across the internet cafe. as i do not yet know how to say phone card, i figured this would do. ok - am off to explore some more. see you all soon.

Katie is off!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my visa in time. It is being mailed from the French consulate in SF to Katie's parent's house in DC. Hopefully I'll have it Thursday morning. I just dropped Katie off at the airport. I'm very jealous! She'll in France on Thursday. I'll be joining her on Monday. Oh well. At least there is now an end in sight!
